If jet lag is my inherence

by Eli Sigelman

If jet lag is my inherence
Than the shadows in the night:
Town of my childhood sorrows
Lips of girl I lost in fight.

If the Time is hiding horrors
Shell I get away like bird,
Keep the memories I borrow
Never loose forgotten thought.

If I could deceive the Present
And replace my plight with sight
Should I need to learn the lessons?
Shell I find my piece of mind?

Far away in foggy town
On the palm of muddy slope
Lying ten feet underground
Youth, forgiveness and my hope.

Graves of my grandparents there
Father of my close friend
Neighbor’s wife and my despair
Days I bent and years I spent.

Sour wine defines the future.
Cherry trees embrace in dance
Empty words… I am a butcher
Of my long forgotten Past.

Funny musical: “Producers”
Rare Russian word: Pogrom
Era ended introducing
World to noisy boredom.

I am waiting in prostration
Watching moving sand and try
Catch the last train on that station
Close the case and say goodbye.

Are my daughter’s dreams a lie?
